Privacy
Short version: HitFrame doesn't collect your data. Your clips and projects stay on your iPhone. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
Who is responsible
Eric Oake, Leipzig, Germany. Email: hello@hitframe.app. The full postal address is available on request.
The app
- Camera and microphone. HitFrame uses them only to record the clips you put on the pads. Recordings are saved inside the app on your iPhone and are not uploaded anywhere.
- Photos. If you choose to, you can pick videos from your library to put on a pad, and save clips and finished videos to your library. HitFrame doesn't read anything else in your library.
- Settings. Preferences such as tempo or the metronome switch are stored on your iPhone.
- Sharing. When you share a video, you choose where it goes. What happens to it there is governed by that service's privacy policy.
The app doesn't send any data to us or to third parties. If you delete the app, iOS deletes everything it stored. Videos you saved to Photos stay there.
This website
- Hosting. The site and the domain's email forwarding run on Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. To deliver the pages and protect against abuse, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser's user agent in short-lived logs. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- No cookies, no analytics. The site sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics. Fonts are served from this domain, not from a third party.
- Launch notification. If you ask to be notified, you send us your email address by email. We use it only to tell you once when HitFrame is in the App Store, and delete it afterwards. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us.
- Email. Mail to hello@hitframe.app is forwarded by Cloudflare to our inbox. If you write to us, we use your message only to answer it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or handed over to you. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@hitframe.app. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
If HitFrame starts handling data differently, for example by adding a sign-up service, this page will be updated first.
